When Jerry Crockett was called by Mr. Meek in 1988 to lead a busy small-format, traditional printshop - he soon discovered the plain truth that ink on paper was not the only way to go.
Responding to rapid changes in the industry, Jerry set out to secure Meek's place in regional markets. He acquired bigger, better equipment, retained and guided employees who showed superior craftsmanship. And he signed on new divisions to provide internal support and expand the company's range of offerings.
These days, the only thing that resembles the past is Meek's enduring reputation for family-style, friendly service. Under Jerry's steady hand, Meek's Lithographing moved from small mom and pop stature to today's 70,000 square-foot-plus operation with almost 50 employees.
As Meek's ramped up its services, Jerry added four supporting divisions. At SEPS electronic prepress, printing plates are now made faster and perform better because they're made directly from the computer. At Signs & Stripes, vinyl vehicle wraps and banners now carry customer messages on semi-trailers and into exhibit halls. At Professional Promotions, a logo can now adorn almost any advertising specialty item from anywhere on earth. At Best Warehouse, companies can rest on secure storage and fulfillment.
